Why change the identity now?

Our brand had matured. What began as a sleek, futuristic concept company had grown into something real.

- Our vehicles were on the road
- We had scaled to 6 cities
- Our batteries were getting deployed rapidly

It was time for the identity to evolve into something more realistic and connectable with our consumer audience

Let's talk about feedback, Ill be honest, I hate it, but I've come to realize it's the massive turbo boost in anyone's design journey.

But getting the feedback is still hard, awkward, and not technically easy.

For those who don't have mentors for their passion projects there's a couple of ways that they ask for advice:

1. Asking friends and seniors

2. Reddit threads for UI feedback

3. Roast my portfolio channels on Youtube

My contributions

My primary focus was designing a new visual identity that could blend well with the new website I was developing.

I ensured the design system was highly adaptable, reusable and customizable to support our growing customer base and evolving partnerships.

The thinking behind it

Creating the design system was a hectic process. Here’s how it came together:

  1. Figuring Out What Goes Where
First, I dug into where everything needed to be displayed. From digital, to phyiscal every medium was analyzed to make sure nothing was missed.

  2. Testing Materials in Real Life
I went around collecting tons of material samples and tested them in different lighting and environments. It wasn’t a quick task, finding the right look and feel took a lot of trial and error.

  3. Making Life Easier for Teams
Every team, finance, marketing, field ops, and even external agencies had their own needs. I worked on simplifying their workflows with creative solutions that worked for everyone while keeping the design consistent.

  4. Creating a Custom Font
A big part of this was building a font from scratch. I helped explor a bunch of existing fonts, tweaked the details, and compiled and coded the font making something that really stood out while feeling right for the brand.

  5. Getting Everyone on the Same Page
To get the hype going, I mocked up ideas and created visualizations that everyone could understand. This document was showcased in an internal company wide meeting. The goal was to make sure the whole company was aligned and excited about the direction.

  6. Keeping It Consistent Everywhere
The hardest part was making sure the designs worked seamlessly across all mediums: products, ads, digital platforms, and internal systems. Every change was tested with the team to make sure it scaled and stayed consistent.
